Air Madagascar

The two Air Madagascar Boeing 767 are, since april 2001, no more allowed to enter EU air space. While one of the planes has been returned to its owner, the other one does the link to Bangkok and further on into China. By september 2011, Air Madagascar has leased from EuroAtlantic Airways one Boeing 777-200, for a period of one year, to do their flights to Paris. This plane is not allowed to land in Nosy Bé.

In the Indian Ocean region, Air Madagascar offers connections from Tana to St. Denis de la Réunion, St. Pierre de la Réunion, Mauritius, Moroni, J'burg, Nairobi and Mayotte.

Air Madagascars international passengers can buy domestic flights at a 50% discount. Discounted tickets need to be bought abroad or directly in an Air Madagascar office.

Baggage allowance between Tana and Paris, Milano, Bangkok, St. Denis is 30 kg. All other international flights allow 20 kg.

Flights between Tana and Paris are night flights both ways.

Passengers arriving in Madagascar on a Air Mad long distance flight are entitled to buy tickets for domestic flights at 50% discount. To get the discount, the Air Mad office at Tana airport will ask you for the boarding pass of your arrival flight.


CorsAir

CorsAirFly, belonging now to TUI group from Germany, became a regular carrier in 2011. They offer now 4 flights from Orly West to Antananarivo, three of them through Mayotte, using Airbus A 330-200 or a 747-400.

From and to Paris Orly West. 30 kg baggage allowance in tourist class. Low priced tickets, valid one year.


Air France

Air France flies four times per week using an Airbus A 340, from june 2011 a Boeing 777. From and to Paris CDG to Antananarivo.

AF now accepts 2 pieces of baggage each weighing up to 23 kg in economy and up to 30 kg in business class. Check if this right applies to an eventuel AF connecting flight.

Check with them for tickets combining multiple destinations in the Indian Ocean region, like La Réunion, Mauritius, Comores.
